Later this year I am hosting an ADHD Inspiration Day in Swindon, Wiltshire. This is a not-for-profit event that offers parents advice, support, information, and the opportunity to meet other families. On the day there will be many fun and helpful activities, from interactive workshops and Q&A sessions to engaging speakers and a useful exhibition.
Raising a child with ADHD is challenging and kids with this condition need all the support they can get – yet often it is hard to find, and parents can feel alone and isolated. My ADHD Inspiration Day will bring together parents and experts and show parents some of the support that is available, as well as encouraging them to support each other.
Tickets to the event cost £50, but I know that often the parents who need the most help are on a very tight budget. So I have turned to the crowdfunding community to be able to give away fifty tickets for the ADHD Inspiration Day to those parents who would benefit most from coming along to event.
I’m trying to raise £2000 to fund the tickets, and by supporting the crowdfunding project, your help will change the lives of fifty families. All you need to do is make a pledge – for any amount from a pound upwards. In return for your support, there are a number of rewards available, from copies of “The Boy From Hell: Life with a Child with ADHD” and my new book “A Parent’s Guide to ADHD” (to be published later this year) to ADHD coaching, tickets to the event, exhibition services and business events. You can also blag an invitation to a party of coffee and cake – my treat!
