I’m really excited to tell you I will be launching a unique ADHD Parenting Programme in just a few weeks’ time!
As the parent of a young person with ADHD I know how difficult it can be to ask for help and advice. OK it can be difficult for anyone to ask for help – but for us it’s different. It often means we have to own up to how challenging our life actually is. Telling people your child regularly attacks you, or destroys your home, or can’t concentrate long enough to even clean their own teeth in the morning can feel embarrassing. So embarrassing in fact that we often don’t bother. We struggle on, on our own, feeling increasingly frustrated and dispirited and even depressed about life. We might be offered a place on a parenting course but they are rarely a specific ADHD parenting programme and they’re often no use at all.
When I started ADHD Kids my dream was to work directly with parents of children with ADHD. To share my experience and knowledge of ADHD and my coaching skills. To help parents overcome some of the challenges of parenting a child with ADHD. I’ve worked with lots of people so far, via my ADHD Inspiration Day, coaching group and one-to-one sessions. However, I’ve always wanted to do more, help more people – and now I’ve found a way to do just that!
In October 2015 I will be launching ADHD Kids Online . It’s a unique ADHD parenting programme that you access on your computer and work through at your own pace. The course will cover a number of topics, from establishing a daily routine to behaviour strategies, from keeping calm to managing meltdowns, from medication to social skills. Each module includes videos, articles, worksheets and tools to help you learn more about ADHD and how to manage it better.
What you’ll learn on the ADHD Parenting Programme
Week 1: Coping with ADHD Behaviours
Week 2: Managing Your Stress Levels
Week 3: Supporting Your ADHD Child to Reach Their Potential
Week 4: How to Manage Anger, Aggression and Meltdowns
Week 5: ADHD and Other People – Siblings, Family and Outsiders
Week 6: Working with Schools
Week 7: Medication, Nutrition and Alternative Therapies
Week 8: Taking Care of Yourself
There’s also a private Facebook group where you can talk to other parents on the programme and share your stories and ideas.
The ADHD Parenting Programme costs £199 for the full 8 weeks but I am currently offering a special pre-launch price of 50% off. In other words, you can reserve your place today for just £99.
