ADHD Parenting Journal
“This book is a really great idea … at ADHD Oxfordshire we are recommending this to parents.”
The journal comprises two-page daily spreads with sections for food and sleep, medication, incidents and strategies, and appointments, plus space for you to add any other information. There’s even a section for your child’s teacher to complete, if you want to share the journal with school. It’s undated, so you can start whenever you want, and there are enough spreads for three months.
There’s also space for you to add useful information for anyone outside the immediate family who may care for your child.
This book is a really great idea. So often we forget exactly what happened when, or we miss patterns of behaviour. At appointments it’s easy to forget to mention something we wanted to say. Professionals ask parents to keep a diary of events and this book makes it so much easier to do that. Whether as a tool for parents to use themselves to get a better overview, or as a record to take to school or medical meetings, at ADHD Oxfordshire we are recommending this to parents.
